In 1989 I joined The MIT Press design department and was made senior designer. I worked with the marketing and production departments, and with authors directly, on a wide variety of projects.
In 1996 I opened my own design studio and now serve a variety of domestic and international publishing houses. In working closely with art directors and production managers I make sure each project meets (and exceeds!) the expectations of the marketing departments and authors, and all deadlines and budgets are met.
Looking to self-publish? I will work with you, the author, to communicate your work, to clarify it, to enhance it. Your book will be guided through the production process to ensure a quality publication.
Each book deserves its own singular visual concept. I will develop it, find the right tone, the perfect typeface and the most satisfying layout. Please contact me for a consultation.
